Following the appointment of Race-Trax as Official Tracking Partner to the iShares Cup – Extreme 40 Sailing Series 2009, the Race-Trax team was delighted to be  in Paris on 5^th May 2009 for the iShares Cup launch.

The iShares Cup Extreme 40 Sailing Series is a six-event circuit stopping at some of Europe’s top destinations including Italy, France, United Kingdom, Germany and the Netherlands. Showcasing top-level racing, the event attracts some of the world's best Olympic, round the world, America's Cup and solo sailors, who will go head-to-head on open sea, picturesque lakes and restricted canals.

Four of the Extreme 40 catamarans were present and a lot of very positive discussion took place. Options for placing anything on these high octane boats are severely limited with very few areas which are not affected by crew or equipment. Thankfully due to the compact nature of the Race-Trax trackers a number of alternatives were possible and these were trialled as the event progressed.
