Race Officers

Race-Trax supports Race Officers years of experience and knowledge on the water, it will provide information direct to the Committee Boat - instantaneously. No sooner has it happened on the race course than the Race Officer and his crew have it displayed - eye-in-the-sky style - in front of them.   

Tracker Specification

It all starts with the data. Only Race-Trax provides sub-metre accuracy with wind, heading, pitch and roll, as it happens via full two-way UHF and at up to 20 times a second. View full Tracker and GPRS and UHF specifications.

Mark Laying

It is possible to see exactly how the course setting is progressing, with Race-Trax tracker units on each mark and / or mark laying RIB. LIVE! information provides instant access to start line bias, length of each leg and bearing to / from each race mark. This information will greatly improve the speed and accuracy with which a course can be laid or changed, keeping competitors´ waiting-time to a minimum whilst ensuring optimal race conditions. Course Setting

LIVE! Wind

Weather conditions may be monitored LIVE!, with specially designed wind instruments attached to a mark or to a mark-laying RIB.  This valuable information helps the Race Officer and his crew to know exactly where to lay a windward mark to create precise start line bias for that perfect windward beat and exact leg lengths for any required race duration. Timing & Results

The Race-Trax system helps to reduce the on-board timekeepers´ and Results Office personnel workload by generating an instant list of competing boats, mark rounding and finish times and LIVE! rankings. This data can be broadcast to the shore for the LIVE! display of provisional results in the race or press office or on screens around the venue. To see how easy this can be click here.

Connectivity

Keep everyone informed of start times and postponements, course layout, wind speed and direction, number and location of on-course competitors, first mark rounding times, LIVE! rankings and provisional finish times from the Committee Boat. Naturally, the inbuilt BlueTooth, Wi-Fi and LAN capability means all officials have access to the data they need, when they need it, where they need it. See just how connected you can be here.

Protest Room

The Race-Trax Replay function can be used as a reference tool for any incident which has occurred during the day´s racing. This can assist in the protest room or simply aid those, all important, post-race discussions. Enhanced Race Replay Files may quickly and simply be created from the stored data onboard each tracker giving even greater precision. To find out more click here.
