Mark laying

With Race-Trax tracker units on each mark and / or mark laying RIBs, it is possible to see exactly how the course setting is progressing. LIVE! information provides instant access to start line bias, length of each leg and bearing to / from each race mark etc. This information can greatly improve the speed and accuracy with which a course can be laid or changed,  keeping competitors´ waiting-time to a minimum and helping to ensure that optimal race conditions with the highest levels of safety are maintained at all times.

This image shows a race 13 seconds before the intended start time (1315hrs) and the Mark Setup page. Competitors have been temporarily hidden (to reduce on-screen clutter). The Local Mark Setup pop-up window enables the accurate laying of all course marks, layline display line width selection and mark pairing whilst making setting and modifying the mark approach order a breeze!

• The ISAF Reference Position has not yet been set (simply enter the offset range and bearing), although Race-Trax has auto generated a virtual `Race Centre´.
• The Finish marks have been manually placed off-course and have been paired to their respective Start Marks for swap-out once the start has been completed (this removes the need for separate Start / Finish trackers).
• Mark rounding order has been set.
• Race-Trax is reporting 10 competitors `Logged On´ to the network and all 10 are `on-course´ - no stragglers !
• O.C.S detection has been enabled (green O.C.S icon, bottom right hand corner).
